About Us

Hello and welcome to Knockategal simulated clay shoot. We are situated between Derrylin and Teemore on the slieve rushen mountain, with stunning views of the surrounding Fermanagh area. Our aim is to provide you with a fantastic shooting experience, whether you are on a full day’s clay shoot, or have booked in at our air rifle range. We can provide our clay shooting days for groups of between 5 – 12 people, and can provide our air rifle shooting for up to 5 people in a two-hour session.

Please note we can only provide our shooting facilities to people who have a valid gun license and insurance. We also cannot provide any loan/rental guns or ammunition, or tuition.

Triple clay days

We are pleased to offer our 150 bird per person, ‘Triple clay day’ which includes a sporting element, a hunting flush, and lastly a simulated game drive. We hope this gives everybody an exciting day shooting at different types of targets.

To start we have a 50-bird per person (2 x 25 birds) sporting type session, this can consist of a Compak type layout or more of a DTL set up, depending on the preference of the group. This can be shot in groups of up to 5 people.

The second session is a 50-bird per person (2 x 25 birds) hunting flush. This consists of 5 traps throwing clays in different directions, as singles, pairs, and triples, depending on the size of group shooting, at a given time. The clays are thrown intermittently, and the speed of this can be adjusted to alter the difficulty of the drive. Flushes are a great way of sharpening up the skills for hunting, and good fun to shoot in a group. This can be shot solo, or in groups of up to 4 people.

The last session of the day is our 50-bird (2 x 25 birds) simulated game drive. Five traps throwing incoming clays to simulate birds flying overhead. These can be low raising birds to mid-level incoming birds. This can be shot solo or in pairs.

The Triple clay day will be shot over a whole day, and will include breakfast, a light lunch, and refreshments. 21g – 28g loads can be used, but they must be fibre-wad cartridges only. We would advise all shooters to wear comfortable, warm shooting clothes, and a sturdy pair of waterproof footwear is a must as there is some walking involved. Also bring a waterproof jacket as we are in Fermanagh!

Unfortunately, we are not able to hire/loan firearms and we do not supply ammunition at present, but we can advise of RFDs around the area to buy cartridges.

Air Rifle range

Our Air rifle range can cater for spring powered and PCP air rifles with a maximum power output of 35lbs. If you need to zero your scope or get some target practice in for hunting or just for fun, we provide steel and paper targets for you to shoot at. Set out at 30mtrs, 40mtrs, 50mtrs and 60mtrs, the targets should be suitable for most air rifles. Targets can also be set to suit individual or group needs, for training or friendly competition. We can provide 5 x lanes shooting for a 2-hour session, please note these are outside stands and are not covered.

Please note we only provide the stands to shoot from and the targets to shoot at on our air rifle range. Anybody using the range must bring their own pellets and air re-fills, if needed. You may bring any equipment you need, including any specific seating needed, as the seating provided is very basic. We would also suggest wearing comfortable warm clothing, that is water proof. Tea and coffee is provided when using the air rifle range.
